Over the years the Australian Standards have changed and modified to be a lot safer in solid fuel burning appliances, when putting a slow combustion heater into an existing brick chimney you are now required to flue the Heater all the way up from the unit to outside of the building. In some cases, it can cause a leaky chimney, but Attards Metal & Heaters can fabricate a Stainless Steel chimney cover with a 10” spigot in the top of it to allows a “Hot Pipe” to pass through and we can finish the flue kit off with one of our standard weather cowls to keep the inside of the brick chimney clean and dry.
